LG is giving its smart TV customers three months of Apple TV+ free of charge. Those with an eligible 4K or 8K set made in 2016 or later have until February 13, 2022 to take advantage of the promotion, but there is a caveat …

If you’ve had an Apple TV+ free trial in the past, you’re out of luck.

LG offers smart TV customers free Apple TV+

Maybe you still can’t bring yourself to cough up every month for Apple TV+, despite its growing catalog of content. But the service is home to some pretty stellar shows, so if you can get it for free, we highly recommend it.

The likes of Ted Lasso, The Morning Show, Mythic Quest and more have picked up countless awards. And while they may not be a hit with everyone, they’ve proven popular among the masses — and they’re worth a look.

If you own an LG smart TV, you may be eligible for three months of Apple TV+ free of charge. The promotion applies to all 4K and 8K sets produced between 2016 and 2021, LG says — as long as you claim before February 13, 2021.

Redeem through your LG TV

“The offer is redeemable by simply following the on-screen instructions in the LG Content Store or by clicking the Apple TV+ advertisement banner on the LG TV home menu,” LG explained in a press release on Tuesday.

LG goes on to say that its TVs are ideal for Apple TV+, thanks to “best-in-class picture and sound technologies,” including Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos support “to ensure the most immersive visual and audio experience.”

The South Korean firm also bigs up its LG Magic Remote, which “makes navigating and content selection on Apple TV+ incredibly intuitive and easy.”
