Elago is at it again with its nostalgic cases that look like other things — this time the Elago W5 AirTag Keychain Case, which looks like an old-school Super Nintendo home gaming console. You stick your AirTag item tracker in it and attach the case via carabiner clip to whatever you want to keep track of.

Elago is known for rolling out functional conversation pieces that serve as cases for devices, like its Game Boy and retro-Mac-style AirPods 3 cases. And the AirPods Pro case that looks like a camera with an AirTag lens. Of course, the company also sell products like iPhone 13 cases that actually look like cases.

New Elago W5 AirTag Keychain Case

Continuing the cute and nostalgic vein, the new Elago W5 AirTag Keychain Case takes the form of a colorful, old-school Super Ninendo Entertainment System (SNES) gaming controller.

And of course it serves a purpose. It’s an AirTag case designed to protect and securely hold your Apple item tracker — so you don’t lose the thing you got to make sure you don’t lose other things.

The silicone case is also a keychain. It features a pocket for an AirTag and a solid carabiner clip allowing you to attach it to an everyday-carry item, like a handbag, a knapsack or a device case.

Small yet protective

The new case is smaller than it may appear in the photos. At 75 mm long by 11mm high, it’s a suitable keychain that can fit in a pocket pretty easily.

The case’s AirTag slot includes a raised lip to protect against scratches as well as an internal air cushion for shock and drop protection.

Pricing and availability

And one of the best bits about this release is the launch discount. The cute little Elago W5 AirTag Keychain Case goes for $13 on the Elago website, but a launch discount at Amazon puts it at 10% off, or $11.69.
