If you have a MacBook Pro of a certain age, you probably know what it’s like to run out of storage. These days, apps, macOS updates and big media files like videos require more space than ever before. But memory and storage provider OWC has your 2016-2017 13-inch MacBook Pro covered with its new Aura Pro NT NVMe solid state drive (SSD).
Adding a SSD like the OWC Aura Pro NT can give your aging MacBook Pro the capacity to do more. With up to 16 times more space over factory drive options, it can help keep your Mac running for years. And buying some new storage is a lot cheaper and easier than purchasing and setting up a new Mac.
Part of a big Apple lineup
The OWC Aura Pro NT joins the broadest lineup of SSD upgrades offered for Apple laptops, OWC said. If offered the first MacBook Air SSD in 2010.
The new OWC Aura Pro NT’s advanced flash management and SLC caching technologies enable you to rip through production-level audio, design and photography workflows, or just everyday file transfers with backups at speeds of up to 2720MB/s, OWC said.
The Aura Pro NT comes in capacities of 24oGB up through 2 TB. OWC said for every 1TB of the OWC Aura Pro NT drive capacity, you can store up to 200,000 photos, 250,000 standard quality songs, 38,000 high-quality songs, 200 high-definition movies, 1330 minutes of GoPro 4K footage, OR 4.3 million MS Office documents.
