The first trailer for The Shrink Next Door introduces the characters that fuel this upcoming dark comedy based on true events. The limited series, which stars Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd and Kathryn Hahn, debuts November 12 on Apple TV+.

The two-minute clip released Tuesday introduces us to the wealthy Martin “Marty” Markowitz (Ferrell) and his longtime therapist Dr. Isaac “Ike” Herschkopf (Rudd), who uses his charm and friendliness for exploitation and manipulation.

The Shrink Next Door hits Apple TV+ next month

The Shrink Next Door is based on the hit 2019 podcast of the same name from Wondery and Bloomberg Media. In addition to Ferrell, Rudd and Hahn, who plays Markowitz’ “hard-headed” sister, the show stars Casey Wilson as Markowitz’ unsuspecting wife.

The Shrink Next Door hits Apple TV+ on November 12, when the first three of eight episodes will be available to stream. New episodes will follow weekly every Friday through December 17.

Apple TV+ is available on all Apple devices, as well as third-party smart TVs and set-top boxes from the likes of Amazon, LG, Samsung, and Sony. It is priced at $4.99 a month, with a seven-day free trial for new subscribers.
