Incase has rolled out a new hardshell case to help protect your 13-inch MacBook Pro. The new Reform Hardshell for MacBook features a co-mold design and four-foot drop protection. It also has what the Irvine, California-based company called “first to market” antimicrobial protection.
Two protective layers
“Available now for the 13-inch MacBook Pro, the Incase Reform Hardshell combines a minimalistic and stylish design with first-to-market antimicrobial defense and impressive protection technology,” the company said
The Reform Hardshell case features two layers that work together to reduce impact force. They deliver up to 4 feet of drop protection for a MacBook Pro.
The outer shell fuses a scratch-resistant polycarbonate exterior with a shock-absorbing TPU inner border for mobile protection against drops and bumps.
Incase Reform Hardshell for MacBook features
Incase described the following features of the Reform Hardshell for MacBook.
- Co-mold construction and 4-foot drop protection. Advanced, dual-layer, co-molded construction features a polycarbonate exterior shell and interior TPU bumper for device protection.
- Antimicrobial defense. Infused antimicrobial protection eliminates and prevents 99.9% of surface bacteria. It provides long-lasting antibacterial and antifungal defense.
- Strategically positioned air vents. Device-matching cooling vents allow steady airflow to help keep the MacBook cool.
- A secure-snap closure lock securely holds the case to the MacBook for worry-free use.
- Rubberized anti-slip feet provide a stable base that inhibits slippage on most surfaces and elevates the MacBook.
Incase’s Reform Hardshell for 13-inch MacBook Pro comes in clear and black colors.
Last year Cult of Mac wrote about some deals on Incase ballistic nylon bags. Maybe some deals will come up for the company’s hard cases, too.
