You’ll be familiar with Smart Hub if you already own a modern Samsung TV. The platform powers all of the company’s Tizen sets, and it provides access to popular streaming services like Netflix, HBO, YouTube and Apple TV.

With the Smart Monitor series, Samsung blurs the lines between display and desktop monitor by making Smart Hub available in your workspace. And prices start at just $229.99.

Samsung Smart Monitor puts Apple TV on your desk

The Samsung Smart Monitor does everything you would expect from a desktop display. It’s available in both 1080p and super-crisp 4K flavors, both of which support HDR 10. Plus, it packs all the usual connectivity options. There’s HDMI 2.0 and even USB-C with charging.

Unlike most desktop monitors, the M5 and M7 also pack built-in 5-watt speakers, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth — and they ship with a Samsung remote. These features allow you to control and enjoy the Smart Hub platform when the working day is out of the way.

A built-in app store offers all your favorite streaming services, including Netflix, Amazon Prime and Apple TV. And you can stream directly from your iPhone, iPad or Mac using AirPlay 2.

Available now

The Smart Monitor lineup is available to order now from Best Buy. It starts at $229.99 for the 27-inch M5, while the 32-inch model — both of with pack 1080p displays — comes in at $279.99. The 32-inch M7, which offers a sharper 4K screen, costs $369.99 after a $30 discount.
