CES 2021 bugOtterBox, known for rugged phone cases, branched out to the gaming market. Its newly announced Mobile Gaming Clip attaches a smartphone to an Xbox Wireless Controller.

The company also unveiled the Otterbox Easy Grip Controller Shell, which brings extra protection to an Xbox controller. And more gaming accessories, too. All at CES 2021.

Most of these new offerings are for Xbox controllers, but OtterBox is exploring bringing its gaming products to other platforms.

Mobile Gaming Clip

iOS lets gamers use an Xbox controller with an iPhone, especially with Apple Arcade games. And Xbox Game Pass support is coming soon. The OtterBox Mobile Gaming Clip makes that easier.

It’s adjustable for viewing angle and balance. The design works with a wide variety of handsets, including the largest ones from Apple. They can be in any case.

The accessory can even be removed and used as a table-top stand. Plus it folds for compact travel. And it’s compatible with Xbox Wireless Controllers and the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2.

The OtterBox Mobile Gaming Clip costs $30. It will be available for pre-order starting January 25.

Easy Grip Controller Shell

Whether gaming at home or on the go, the OtterBox Easy Grip Controller Shell protects an Xbox Wireless Controller without blocking access to the buttons.

In addition, it lets users personalize the look and feel of their controller with three color options: black, grey and purple. And there are swappable grips to customize the feel.

The Easy Grip Controller Shell is $40.

More new OtterBox gaming accessories

With CES 2021 just starting, OtterBox didn’t hold back. It also announced a Gaming Carry Case (shown above) designed to hold Xbox wireless controller with the new OtterBox clip and shell attached. The top includes a flip-up stand for your phone. And there’s a cable pass-through in the back, too. The cost is $45.

And it launched the Easy Grip Gaming Case, a line of protective cases for all recent iPhones designed to keep the handset cool while playing. It’s $55.

If that wasn’t enough, the Gaming Glass Privacy Guard is a screen protector that also blocks other people from seeing what’s going on in your game. Unlike similar privacy guards, it’s designed to be used in landscape mode. The price is $55.

All these gaming accessories will hit the OtterBox website on January 25.
