Apple invites everyone to “join us for an advance screening of the new season of Dickinson.” This is apparently the entire upcoming season.

To sign up, go to the registration page on Apple.com. But don’t dawdle, registrations must be received on Wednesday, January 6.

The virtual screening starts on January 7, at 5 p.m. PT / 8 p.m. ET. This is a one-time stream.

What to expect in Dickinson season 2

Season one of Dickinson was one of the first shows on Apple TV+, and it won a Peabody. The show is inspired by the life of the famous poet, not a docudrama, as there are frequent, deliberate anachronisms.

Hailee Steinfeld returns to play the title character in the upcoming episodes. According to Apple, “In the second season, Emily Dickinson (Steinfeld) is pulled out of her private literary life and thrust into the public eye, while struggling with the sense that the pursuit of fame might be a dangerous game for her to play.”

Season one of Dickinson is available to binge watch by Apple TV+ subscribers. Season two premiers Friday, January 8 with three half-hour episodes. Afterward, new episodes will appear weekly, every Friday.

It’s exclusive to Apple’s streaming service, which includes over 50 series and films, either available now or coming soon. There are thrillers, crime dramas, comedies and documentaries. It costs $4.99 a month.
