The next Bruce Springsteen album Letter To You will debut on the same day as an Apple TV+ documentary offering a behind-the-scenes look at the live studio album’s creation.

In addition, the Letter To You documentary will include full performances from the E Street Band playing songs from the new release.

Letter To You is a feature-length vérité Bruce Springsteen documentary

Springsteen is about to release his first studio album recorded live since 1984’s Born In The U.S.A.. The upcoming documentary shares his thoughts and feelings about the new songs. He puts the fresh material in context with his earlier work, including never-before-seen archival material and previously unreleased compositions from the 1970s.

In the film, Springsteen and the E Street Band perform final take performances of 10 originals from the new record. Watch a trailer to get a feel for the documentary.

Both Letter To You the album and the documentary are set to debut Friday, October 23. Add the album to Apple Music to receive a notification when it’s released.

The film will be available only on Apple TV+. This streaming service costs $4.99 a month, but includes over 40 shows and movies. That includes Beastie Boys Story, a documentary about these rappers from director Spike Jonze.
