The latest addition to Apple’s gaming service is a rare multi-player title. Marble Knights lets up to four people at once roll together through a sword-swinging adventure.

“Roll into battle with Orbin Marabelle and the other Knights of the Round to defend King Rolland and the Kingdom of Roundingham from the evil lord Terroball,” says the developer, WayForward (with every possible pun).

Games that involve controlling a ball are popular and so are fantasy adventures. Marble Knights combines the two.

“Armed with your blade, your wits, and a variety of orb-based powers, you’ll smite foes, solve puzzles, and embark on an epic fantasy journey,“ promises the developer.

Many games are for just a single person, but Marble Knights can be played with up to four at the same time. That’s easiest to accomplish in the Apple TV version, but there are also Mac, iPad and iPhone versions.

It supports the PlayStation DualShock 4, Xbox Wireless and MFi external controllers.

Marble Knights hits Apple Arcade

Subscribers to Apple’s game service can already download Marble Knights. The cost is $4.99 per month, but Apple Arcade also includes more than 100 other games. And there are no other costs, as in-app purchases, ads and loot boxes are banned.
