‘Apple One’ services bundle might have just been confirmed

An Apple One bundle might be announced in September. Or October.

A rumor that Apple plans to offer discounts on bundles with iCloud, Apple Arcade and other services may have been confirmed Thursday. Mentions of the “Apple One” subscription bundle reportedly turned up in the code for Apple Music for Android.

‘Apple One’ stops being only a rumor

Buried in the code for this version of the Apple Music app is the note “Your Apple Music subscription will be included in Apple One,” according to 9to5Google. That’s the exact name Bloomberg reported in August that Apple was using internally for its subscription services bundles.

Other mentions of Apple One were also found, which apparently has the code name “aristotle.” This is described as a “Subscription Bundle.”

Plus, these aren’t the first hints of this plan. There were mentions of a “bundle offer” buried in an iOS 13.5.5 beta.

Save money on Apple services with a bundle

In addition to subscribing to them separately, consumers could soon get the option to combine Apple Music ($9.99 per month), Apple TV+ ($4.99 per month) and Apple Arcade ($4.99 per month) into bundles at a lower overall cost. There’ll also be options with Apple News+ ($9.99 per month) and iCloud (99 cents to $9.99 per month).

There’ll be tiered Apple One options, according to Bloomberg. One will include the music and video service. A second option will add Apple’s gaming service. Another will add News+, and yet another will include iCloud storage.

Exact pricing isn’t yet available, but the savings are allegedly going to be between $2 and $5 a month.

Apple One might be unveiled at this company’s Sept. 15 event. Or the wraps could come off in October, if that’s when the iPhone 12 is announced.
