Wissam Abirached is a senior engineering manager at Github, so he needs a desk to match his position. His MacBook Pro-powered rig orbits around an LG 34-inch UltraWide monitor. Aside from Apple’s Pro Display XDR, the LG’s UltraWide is the monitor to use when working with Apple products.
He uses an Apple Magic Keyboard and Mouse — can’t go wrong there. His MacBook sits on top of a Griffin GC16034 Elevated Laptop Stand. This puts his laptop at a comfortable height and gives him a place to store his Xbox controller.
Abirached sits on the ultra-ergonomic ErgoChair 2 by Autonomous, which would be any chiropractor’s throne. It offers great lumbar support for long coding grinds, and is one of Abirached’s favorite parts of his setup.
An iPad Pro accompanies his MacBook. He uses his iPad for taking notes, as a second screen, and even for on-the-go coding. He also uses a Mounties+ grip by One Ten Design. This great life-hack tool clamps his iPad onto his MacBook, giving him the ultimate mobile dual-monitor rig.
For audio, Abirached uses his AirPods or, for more serious stuff, a pair of Bose 700 noise-canceling headphones. For video calls, he utilizes the Logitech C920 HD Pro Webcam, which gives him professional-grade video quality.
