Monday’s release of watchOS 6.2.5 includes a trio of new faces in the Pride series. It was timed with the debut of new matching Watch bands in the Apple Store.

In addition, Apple Watch wearers in Saudi Arabia just got access to the ECG features of Apple Watch Series 5 and Series 5.

The addition of the Pride faces to watchOS 6.2.5 was noticed on Reddit over the weekend. They go with the two Apple Watch bands that also debuted Monday that celebrate Apple and Nike’s commitment to Pride and LGBTQ representation.

watchOS 6.2.5 is good news for Saudi Arabia

Two of the signature features of Apple Watch Series 4 and Series 5 just debuted in Saudi Arabia. watchOS 6.2.5 activates the electrocardiogram in these wearables for residents of this Middle Eastern nation. This ECG can notify wearers if they have atrial fibrillation, a potentially dangerous heart condition.

In addition, the Apple Watch can now notify residents of Saudi Arabia of they have an irregular heartbeat.

These are the only features directly referenced in the official release notes. Apple said:

watchOS 6.2.5 includes new features, improvements and bug fixes:

    • ECG app on Apple Watch Series 4 or later now available in Saudi Arabia
    • Irregular heart rhythm notifications now available in Saudi Arabia

Update now

Download 6.2.5 via the Apple Watch app on iPhone. To install it, go to General > Software Update and tap Update. The watch must have 50% battery and be placed on a charger during the installation process.
