The newly-released watchOS 6.1.3 fixes a significant bug, but only for the residents of Iceland. Still, Apple thinks it’s important enough to put out a software update primarily for this reason.

The release notes state, “This update includes improvements and bug fixes, including a fix for an issue that prevented the irregular heart rhythm notification from working as expected for Apple Watch owners in Iceland.”

How to install watchOS 6.1.3

Every Apple wrist computer can install this update because watchOS 6.1.x is compatible with Apple Watch Series 1 and later.

These wearables are updated through an iPhone. This must be running iOS 13, and kept near the Watch.

On the Apple Watch, go to Settings > General > Software Update. Then tap on Download and Install.

This same process can be done through the iPhone that’s paired with this wearable. Open the Watch app, then open the My Watch tab, and tap on General >Software Update > Download and Install. Apple’s support website has more details.
