Apple is offering customers a free gift card worth up to $200 as part of its latest Black Friday promotion.

You won’t find any discounts on its products during the four-day event, so you’ll need to shop elsewhere if that’s what you’re looking for. But you will get store credit for eligible purchases.

Apple customers will be familiar with this year’s Black Friday promotion. It’s the same deal we’ve seen countless times before, and it means most people will be better shopping elsewhere.

But in case you’re interested in a free Apple Store gift card, here’s what you need to know.

Apple prepares Black Friday promotion

You’ll receive an Apple Store gift card worth up to $200 when you purchase select products from Friday, November 29 through Monday, December 2. That gives you four days to take advantage.

The promotion will run in the U.S. and many other countries. Those in the U.K. can get up to £160; those in Canada will receive up to CAD$280, and those in Europe will receive up to €200.

It’s not yet clear which Apple products are eligible, or how much you’ll need to spend to redeem the full $200. There is a chance Apple’s most recent products will be excluded from the deal.

With that being the case, you’ll need to look to third-party retailers for discounted Apple devices. Many have already cut prices on Apple Watch, iPad, AirPods, and even the 16-inch MacBook Pro.

Better deals elsewhere

Here are some price comparisons between Apple and Amazon, for instance:

In almost all cases, these discounts are likely to be larger than the value of the gift card Apple will offer with these devices.

If you’re interested in Apple’s promotion anyway, visit the Apple Online Store from Friday. You can also “save the date” to your calendar today by following the link on the Apple website.
