Anyone who wants to look like they have the latest and greatest Apple handset without putting down the cash to replace their iPhone XS might be able to use a case that only simulates the appearance of an iPhone 11 Pro.

iPhone XS to iPhone 11 Pro in 2 minutes or less

The design is clever. There’s a piece that goes over the dual camera lenses of last year’s flagship iOS device to add a third lens, a hallmark of the iPhone 11 Pro. Of course, this one is fake, and it appears to cover up the flash.

Then there’s a clip-on component that covers the remainder of the back of the handset and shows an Apple logo that’s been moved farther down, just as it is on the company’s newest offering.

The obvious target market is those who want to be seen using the latest model, but either can’t afford to upgrade or just don’t want to go through the hassle of replacing their iPhone XS.

Just hold your horses

Before anyone shouts “Take my money!” there are some roadblocks. This iPhone XS case is shown on a TikTok page belonging to someone calling themselves digital_buyer, but without a price or any way to put in an order.

Even worse, a product not made by Apple that nevertheless prominently displays the Apple logo is a clear trademark violation. That’s likely to hinder sales  in most countries.

Still, the 1.8 million “likes” the video of this iPhone XS case shows that there’s undoubtedly interest in it.
