Apple’s subscription news service just debuted in the UK and Australia, with access to a range of local and international newspapers and magazines for a single monthly fee.

News+ includes offerings like The Times (UK) and The Daily Telegraph (AU). There’s Cosmopolitan UK, Australian Men’s Health and many more.

“Apple News+ offers hundreds of the world’s most popular publications, all discoverable through personalised and curated recommendations,” said Lauren Kern, editor-in-chief of Apple News.

Apple News+ takes reading magazines to the next level

The free Apple News service gives users access to articles from a wide variety of advertising-supported sources. The News+ service adds content from subscription-only publications.

The additional fee brings cover-to-cover access to an array of newspapers and magazines that are available online and off, including the latest issues as well as older ones.

Apple News and News+ work on iPhone, iPad and Mac. Both services are currently available in Australia, the UK, US and Canada.

A subscription brings access to US publications like The Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times, National Geographic, and Rolling Stone.

Apple News+ launched today in Australia for $14.99 a month. The cost in the UK is £9.99 a month. Potential customers can sign up for a free one-month trial.
