There’s a brand new Pokémon game out for Android and iOS.

Pokémon Rumble Rush is a free-to-play title from the long-running Pokémon Rumble series, in which you take control of your favorite pocket monsters as they battle.

Its launch comes almost two years after the game was first announced.

When The Pokémon Company first confirmed its latest game, it was named Pokéland. But despite the name change, Pokémon Rumble Rush is exactly what we were promised.

The title lets you play as Pokémon as they battle it out against other monsters across different stages.

Pokémon Rumble Rush was designed just for mobile

What’s interesting about this particular entry in the series is that it was designed specifically for mobile players on the move. Like Super Mario Run, you can play the game with just one hand.

Movement and attacks are carried out by simply tapping the screen with a single thumb.

You’ll explore different islands and encounter all kinds of Pokémon as you progress through the game, and the adventure changes every two weeks to keep you coming back for more.

When you clear a stage, you’ll receive ore that lets you power up your Pokémon. You will need different types of strong Pokémon in your team to defeat Super Bosses, which offer big rewards.

Coming to the App Store soon

Pokémon Rumble Rush has already appeared in some markets, including Australia and Japan. It is expected to roll out to other territories imminently.

Keep an eye on the App Store and Google Play and you should see it very soon.
