Information coming out of Apple’s Asian supply chain has been compiled into what could be a very early look at the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Max.

From the front, these look quite a bit like the 2018 models, but the back includes some very significant differences.

The two images supposedly showing the next generation iPhone was posted to the Chinese social networking site Weibo.

They are allegedly mockups that will be used to prepare cases for these upcoming handsets.

iPhone 11: Front and back

The design of the iPhone 11‘s screen cutout and bezels won‘t change, if these images turn out to be accurate. The Notch apparently isn’t getting any smaller.

However, the rear cameras are supposedly being totally reconfigured. Both the mockups sport a three-lens setup, along with an LED flash, in a sizable raised area on the upper left side. This is in-line with previous rumors.

Most recently, trusted analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicted that Apple will add a “super-wide camera” to the 2019 iPhone offerings.

The placement of the Apple logo on the back of these molds is odd, causing some to question their authenticity.

Looking ahead to the iPhone 11

The next lineup of iPhone models are almost certainly at least 5 months away, but the design process is likely finished and companies in Asia and around the world are getting ready to produce components for them.

Kuo predicts they’ll be the same sizes as the 2018 ones. Expect a “6.5-inch OLED, 5.8-inch OLED, and 6.1-inch LCD,” according to the analyst.

Numerous sources point to three camera lenses. There’s disagreement as to whether Apple’s handsets will have Lightning ports or follow the iPad Pro line and include USB-C ports instead.
