A new 31.5-inch LG monitor costs a bit more than entry-level screens, but offers 4K resolution, wide viewing angles, and a very good contrast ratio. There’s even a built-in USB hub.
Best of all, the LG 32UL750-W has a USB-C port so it can be easily connected to recent MacBooks, Mac desktops, and even the new iPad Pro.
This screen has a 3840 by 2160 pixel resolution, giving it 140 pixels per inch. LG promises a 3000:1 contrast ratio, and that the screen is viewable across 178 degrees, both horizontally and vertically.
This screen offers 400 nits typical brightness but 600 nits peak brightness. LG says it can produce 1.07 billion colors. It comes calibrated from the factory.

The USB-C port mentioned earlier can provide up to 60W of PD power to charge your MacBook, plus there’s a pair of HDMI 2.0a ports and a DisplayPort 1.2 port. The built-in hub offers two USB Type-A 3.0 ports.
The stand is adjustable for both tilt and height.
The LG 32UL750-W just debuted in Japan, but it’s expected to be available in other regions for around $750. That’s more that budget screens of the same size, but LG’s high-end offerings can set you back $1,199 or more.
