Football fans will soon be able to fight for victory wearing their favorite NFL jersey in Fortnite Battle Royale. Starting Friday, November 9, you’ll be able to purchase team outfits from the in-game item shop and add your own squad number.

Epic Games is also adding new gliders, emotes, and pickaxes with an NFL theme. Take a sneak peek at what’s coming in the teaser trailer below.

Many of Fortnite’s outfits are loosely based on popular characters or heroes, but for the first time, Epic games is adding licensed skins to its roster. And they look terrific!

Fortnite’s new NFL outfits

The outfits will be available from 7 p.m. ET this Friday. There will be a number of options to choose from, and you’ll be able to customize each one with any of the NFL’s 32 team colors and your own squad number from 1 to 99.

The outfits come complete with a helmet, gloves, and cleats. They will also sport official team badges, but if you want to, you can swap those for Fortnite logos.

In addition to the outfits, you can expect to see new gliders, emotes, and pickaxe skins with an NFL theme. Sadly, we don’t get to see any of those in the teaser video above.

Fortnite skins make a killing

It’s cosmetic items like these that have made Fortnite insanely successful for Epic Games. Its Battle Royale element — by far the most popular part of the game — is on track to generate $2 billion this year alone, despite being completely free-to-play.

Players don’t have to purchase additional outfits or items if they don’t want to; they grant no competitive advantage and are purely there for looks. Nevertheless, the game’s biggest fans can’t help but purchase them, and there’s always something new to pick up.

Will you be splashing out on the NFL skins?
