The next big Apple event everyone has been expecting just became official. Looks like new tablets, laptops and desktops could be unveiled October 30.

What makes this unusual is it won’t be at Apple headquarters in Cupertino, but at the Brooklyn Academy of Music.

What that means for the new products on the docket is anyone’s guess. Perhaps versions of Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro for iPad?

Adding to the fun is the fact that Apple has quite a few different versions of the graphic for the invitation, apparently without any particular theme. The page for this event on Apple’s website shows a different graphic every time it’s loaded.

That seems to suggest that new graphics applications are coming. Photoshop for iPad was already shown off this week, though.

2018 iPad Pro, MacBook Air, Mac mini at the Apple event

The highlight of this Apple event is almost certainly going to be significantly redesigned versions of the iPad Pro. Numerous leaks indicate that the bezels around the tablet’s screen will shrink and the Home button will disappear. All this will be possible because Touch ID is being replaced with Face ID. And there have even been reports that this will be the first iOS device with a USB-C port.

But that’s not all. The second fall Apple event could bring a new MacBook Air. This will supposedly be the first in this line with a Retina display, but other details remain a mystery.

And a more powerful Mac mini desktop is also expected. Again, few details are known at this point.

We’ll find out on Tuesday, October 30, at 10 a.m. Eastern time (7 a.m. Pacific).
