Apple has finally heard our cries. A new beta has been rolled out to finally fix the false update popups that have been plaguing iOS 12 users all day.

Get it now to save yourself from insanity.

“A new iOS update is now available,” reads the notification. “Please update from the iOS 12 beta.” The only problem is that there was no iOS 12 update, and yet the notification continued to appear every time you unlocked your device.

Apple finally has a fix.

A twelfth beta update, available to download now, fixes this bug and prevents the popup from appearing after every unlock. We recommend installing it right away.

It doesn’t look like there are any major changes in this release. It weighs in at just 108.5MB, so a quick fix for this issue is likely its primary focus.

iOS 12 is set to make its public debut this September. We’ll get a more specific release date during Apple’s big iPhone event on September 12.
