iPhone X and iPhone 8 owners that want to mount their device on the dashboard of their car won’t have to deal with a mess of wires and dongles to charge and listen to music at the same time, thanks to a brilliant new mount from Scosche.
Aptly dubbed the ‘MagicMount Charge‘, Scosche’s new accessory provides 15W of charging power. That’s three times the amount of power most wireless charging products use, meaning your iPhone will get all the juice it needs.
Instead of using a traditional clamp to hold your device in place, the MagicMount Charge utilizes magnets on the back of your phone. And if you’re worried about magnets and gadgets not playing well together, don’t be. Scosche uses rare-earth neodymium magnets are 100% mobile device safe.
With its four-axis adjustable base, the mount lets drivers position the iPhone X at the perfect viewing angle whether you put it on your windshield or dashboard. Oh, and it works on Android phones with Qi wireless charging technology too, in case one of your passengers hasn’t switched to iPhone yet.
The mount can also be used in your home as a charging stand for your $1000 iPhone. Scosche says units will be available in October for $69.99.
