Apple squashed a few bugs in iOS 11 beta 3, released for developers today, but the update also adds new iPad multitasking features, Siri upgrades and more. Check out our video below to see everything that’s new.
What’s new in iOS 11 beta 3
Here’s a list of what we found in the new beta during our filming, in addition to the welcome stability improvements:
- A new cover sheet displays all notifications instantly.
- Wi-Fi toggle now disconnects you from your current network and turns off Wi-Fi.
- New Siri voices for both genders of Brazilian Portuguese, Canadian French, Dutch and Swedish.
- New Siri female voices for English and Mexican Spanish.
- Updated 3D Touch interface for the camera app within Control Center.
- Improvements to Smart Invert makes colors more accurate.
- One-handed Maps mode — just double-tap and keep your finger on the screen to zoom in and out by swiping up and down.
- Swipe to dismiss apps in multitasking on iPad.
- New networking and ARKit features for developers.
- SafariServices added a new API for authentication flow for onboarding.
- Tab view within Safari on iPhone has been removed.
