Someone at Apple appears to be playing a joke on the Kardashians. Either that, or the neural net powering iOS 9’s typo suggestions has unlocked a new synonym.
All iPhones and iPads running iOS 9.2 now autocorrects the word ‘lardass’ to ‘Kardashian.’ News of the comic correction first started making waves yesterday when DJ Phoenix tweeted about the little ‘glitch’ that appears to make fun of Kardashian’s famously ample sized derrière.
I didn’t believe it at first, so I decided to check it out for myself and here’s what autocorrect suggested:
Apple declined to comment on the autocorrect faux pas. Kardashian and her husband Kanye West a hot topic in the entertainment rags recently for celebrating the arrival of their second child on December 5th, named Saint West.

And when you type “Kardashian” it should auto-correct to “Neverhasbeen”.
Honestly it seems understandable. I’m assuming with the new update autocorrect has been improved and the word “Kardashian” and “Lardass” just so happen to have a similar set of letters and lettering scheme is all
And when you type out Fu??kt you get Vicky. Then if you repeat typing out the full fu??ckt it changes to Ducky.
They finally fixed autocorrect.
Mine doesn’t do it. But the suggestions are based on what you type and the current content.
By avoiding all things Kardashian like the plague, I don’t get the suggestion.
