my mouse kept disconnectin itself for a YEAR, now it’s gone (hopefully) + I did have problems with Mail ‘returning’ after being deleted ;) but every second deletion was final lol

I’m sorry to say, but I’ve noticed more and more hang-ups, freezes, and all-out crashes lately; in both OSX and iOS. I’m not going to argue that “Steve wouldn’t have let this happen”, but I have to wonder if Apple in general is trying to cram-in too many new features before they’re ready.

I really do think that the majority of long-time Apple fans stick around because we don’t necessarily need bleeding-edge features. Yes, of course we like new things, but I’d take a super stable system with one bell that works every time, over both a bell AND a whistle that work 80% of the time… (I hear Windows has multiple bells and whistles!)

Anyone remember how rock-solid Snow Leopard was?

Even Yosemite is rock-solid compared to this steaming pile of trash.

Agree totally – I’ve been using nothing but Macs for almost 30 years, but it may be time to switch . . . I have a totally standard MacBook Pro with no exotic third-party software, and every new update produces more problems . . since El Capitan came I have I lost hundreds of emails, can’t connect to my network printer, and since the last update Safari freezes with every tab . . it seems every single update is a beta test

In the Windows world we always had the rule to wait until Service Pack 1. I guess for Mac the new rule is to wait for 10.x.3. Three rounds of updates on a new version of OSX should be just about right for it to be (relatively) stable.

I had notice a very very bad battery life with El Capitan (6 hrs at 100%) but it seems this updates has maybe fixed this bug, it’s now 9:50 at 100%. I hope it stays like that….
