This week: can the new iPad Pro really replace your Mac? Apple seems to think so, but we’ve got a Pro in-hand and we’re not so sure. Plus: Apple may soon offer us all a simple way to pay each other; and stick around for another classic El Kahney rant—zombie edition—on an all new Stuff We’re Into.

It has the potential, but at the moment, it still can’t.

I don’t get the obsession with casting any iPad as a desktop replacement. It is its own device. Some people get by with just an iPhone. Others need a Mac Pro. No one device is all things to all people.

true. It’s all based on the requirements the user has and is aware of.

Apple certainly isn’t casting it that way. Not for every user. Some users simply don’t need a laptop or any computer for that matter. When you are looking to do email, web browsing and maybe a little online bill pay and perhaps play a few casual games like bejeweled and tetris, you don’t need a computer. An ipad will be just fine

re:Leander and his tWD rant/issues; doesn’t he realize that the reason there aren’t politicalized topics on the show is because government is done and gone and it’s more about the essential survival needs not all the superficial things you mention as political overtones. Btw, if there was a zombie apocalypse in real life you would rather want a gun toting Rick, and not a gun free zone Brit.
