Facebook is dipping its toes into the music biz this week with a brand new feature that makes it easier than ever to share your favorite tunes with all your social network friends.
The new Music Stories feature rolls out to iPhone users today and allows you to share 30-second song samples from Apple Music and Spotify by simply copy and pasting a link into your status update.

We’re introducing “Music Stories” today to enable better music discovery and sharing on Facebook. The new post format allows people to listen to previews on Facebook from Apple Music and Spotify. You can read more about it on Facebook for Media: https://media.fb.com/blog

The best part of the new Music Stories feature is you don’t have to go to a different app to listen to the previews. Then if you want more, you can click through to stream the full track on Apple Music, purchase it from iTunes, or add it to your library with a single tap.
Facebook’s Music Stories only work with Spotify and Apple Music for now, but the company says it plans to expand support to additional services (like Rdio, Pandora, and Tidal) in the future.
