Pun fully intended!

Ahead of the upcoming ESPN.com redesign, the nation’s number one source for sports unveiled its all-new iOS app last week.

Now called “ESPN” instead of “SportsCenter,” the app’s interface has been decluttered and simplified. More importantly, ESPN finally has an iPad app, and it looks great. There’s a favorites bar that makes getting stats on your favorite teams easy, and the “Now” section incorporates Twitter to surface news stories and links you might want to read.

Budgeting and tracking expenses can be a pain, but luckily there are some great apps out there to make things easier. The launch of Saver 2 last week is worth considering if you’re on the hunt for an app to help you make sense of your spending.

You can log all of your transactions into categories and see helpful charts that break down your different budgets. Paying for the app up front gets you tracking for up to one bank account, but if you’re really serious, then you may want to consider a subscription. Plus and Pro subscriptions come with different perks, like unlimited incomes, reoccurring entries, reminders, cloud sync, data export, and more.

SNL’s 40th anniversary airs tonight with alums like Justin Timberlake, Paul McCartney, Kanye West, Jimmy Fallon, Paul Simon, Chris Rock, Will Ferrell, Bill Murray, Eddie Murphy, and more. It’s sure to be a rager.

To celebrate, SNL has released its own app with every single sketch it’s done, totaling 5,500 sketches from 800 episodes. That’s an incredible resource to have in one app for free. More sketches will be added as episodes continue to air.

Workflow is now an Apple app.

The official Starbucks app got Apple Pay support last week, but not in the way you’re thinking.

You can use Apple Pay to reload your Starbucks card within the app, unfortunately. Barcodes still have to be scanned at the register, as Starbucks stores haven’t started rolling out NFC readers yet. Hopefully they will soon, but until then, this is a step in the right direction.

We compared Darkroom to having Adobe Lightroom on your iPhone in our full review, and it’s not hard to understand why Apple featured it on the front of the App Store.

If you’re looking for an excellent, full-featured photo editor for iOS that can let you make your own filters, this is the ticket.
