Seriously, you guys, you have got to try out Device 6, from developer Simogo Games
Yeah, I know it’s $3.99, but dammit, skip the latte this morning and just buy this game. Oh, and watch the video below.
The intro to this thing is a very convincing homage to a James Bond flick, complete with sillhouettes and lines and circles and proto-surf music. It’s brilliantly.
And then you’re pulled into this story that starts as a book and you end up rotating and turning your device over and over in your hands and swiping across weird pictures and strange buttons to press and you’re not sure what the hell is going on but you like it and you just. keep. going.
Until you get stuck, right? because that’s what makes it a game; getting stuck. Then you think about the clues you’re given, both visual and audio. and you press the wrong buttons. and then you figure it out, and you press the right buttons, and then you just. keep. going.
Until it’s late in the night and you really need to sleep, but screw it, it’s Friday and you can sleep in.
THAT’s why this is Cult of Mac’s iOS Game of the Week. Seriously.
