Who better to star in the world’s most famous endless runner than the world’s fastest runner? That’s Imangi Studios’ latest stroke of genius: they’re now offering Olympic world record runner Usain Bolt, that stroke of greased lightning himself, as a playable character in Temple Run 2.
For a limited time only, Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt is available as an in-app purchase of $0.99 in Temple Run 2.
Like many characters in Temple Run 2, Usain has a special ability you can activate, which gives you invincibility, automatically guides you on the right path, and sucks coins in a vortex towards you. Also, bolts shoot off of you, because you know, Bolt.
Imangi Studios has made an entire App Store empire out of re-skinning and re-protagonist-izing Temple Run for whatever property du jour that might call for an endless runner, like Brave or The Wizard of Oz. I’d say Mr. Bolt makes a little bit more sense endlessly running away from a skullbear, though, wouldn’t you?
