iBeer is a virtual pint for the iPhone and iPod Touch that is supposed to behave like a real pint of delicious bubbly beer, according to the developers.

Thanks to the iPhone’s accelerometers, it tips, pours and drains like a real pint. It even foams up when you shake the iPhone.

However, the $3 app is getting mixed reviews on the iTunes App Store. Some love it, but many say the fun lasts for about 30 seconds.

“For $3, I can get a real beer,” says one.

Here it is in action on YouTube:

Hey, iPint does about the same thing (plus it gives you a mini bar-tending game) – and it’s free (’cause it’s sponsored, but who cares).

I wish that were the case here. A typical pint of anything drinkable in this part of the UK is about $5 these days.

And iPint’s physics are way better – it *does* actually drain properly.

Wow, what a useless piece of crap. Some people clearly have to much time on their hands to make/buy this, huh?

Potentially useful to get chicks attention in social situations… I say it’s worth the money.

Um… What’s up with the eyebrow waggles?

You know what? I’ve downloaded the freeware iPint and it’s nice, but it doesn’t give you those virtual bubbles, which are vital to sell the whole beer concept. I mean, without the carbonation it could be apple juice, right? How un-sexy is that?

If the makers of iBeer would like to send me a free copy of their software in exchange for my enthusiastic shilling on their behalf, I’d accept with gratitude.
