Well, that was fast. The Apple online store has already caught up with the pre-order demand of the fourth-generation iPad, and it’s now saying the device is “in stock.” That means customers will no longer face a shipping delay when placing their order for the new device online.
The fourth-generation iPad never quite seemed to receive the demand as other new iOS devices — possibly because it was released just 7 months after its predecessor. But Apple did impose a 3-5 day shipping delay shortly after it began accepting pre-orders for the device.
Just over a week later, that delay is now gone and both the black and white devices — in all capacities — are ready to ship immediately for customers in the United States.
Unfortunately, the same can’t be said about the iPad mini, which is still facing a two-week delay. The 7.9-inch device seemed to be a little more popular than its larger sibling on pre-order day; though it isn’t too difficult to get hold of at Apple retail stores. You can now reserve yours online for in-store pickup the following day.
