Keep A Stylish Eye On Your Mac’s Vitals With miStat [OS X Tips]

MiStat Window

Keeping track of vital Mac stats is both important and fun. Not only does today’s tip app show you a ton of useful information about your computer, it promises to do so in a super stylish way. From what we’ve seen of it (not a review!), we agree.

MiStat, by Bjango, is a comprehensive-looking Mac app that lets you check out and keep track of your Mac’s CPU, memory, network, disk usage, temperature, fans, disk activity and working processes.

Not only will it show you those things as they happen, but MiStat will also graph the history of those very same things, for your viewing pleasure. It’s by the makers of iStat, a well-known and mature dashboard widget that does much of the same things, so you can rest assured they know what they’re doing.

Of course, you need to be running An Intel Mac running OS X 10.6 or newer to use MiStat. Oh, and you have to have $5, since that’s what it costs. While this is a tip and not a review, we’re pretty impressed by the way this app looks as well as the serious amount of information it tracks.

I’m guessing that “stylish” is in the eye of the beholder. :-)

That UI looks pretty awful to me.

Why waste $5 when you can see all these things using activity monitor?
