Over at 9to5Mac, everyone’s favorite teenage tech space Tintin, Mark Gurman, managed to get his hands on some soon-to-be-posted retail art that confirms the new iPad will go on sale starting at 8 a.m. on Friday. In other words, doors at your local Apple Store will be opening two hours early to accommodate the crush.

Will you be waiting in line for one? What time do you plan on getting there? Let us know in the comments.

I originally took the day off to wait in line.  Now I am taking Friday off to patiently wait for my pre ordered 64 GB White ATT 4G and new Apple TV.  Smart covers been sitting on my desk for a week…Painful, although some peeps will get theirs before mine I will enjoy quietly and comfortably waiting in my bed, instead of a fold out chair, for it to be delivered to my front door.

Same boat here. I’ve been looking at my smart cover for days awaiting my 64 Gig AT&T 4G model and AppleTV also. I will be waiting (impatiently) for the doorbell to ring on Friday. :) happy waiting.

So i got a 3:30 meeting with a major donor that really wouldn’t go over well with my boss if i missed it to pick up the ‘New’ Pad. Highly exited about the 8:00 release… Is it Friday yet

Um. I thought the release was confirmed last week?

I will be taking Friday off for the launch. I will be lining up at the International Plaza in Tampa at round 9 pm Thursday. That Apple store usually sees multiple thousands of people line up for launches.
