MuscleNerd has announced the imminent release of a major update to RedSn0w. The update is expected to be released sometime over the weekend before Monday and it will bring some nice features to the popular jailbreaking utility.
The update will no longer need users to select a IPSW file and it now offers the ability to save and send your SHSH Blobs to Cydia. Now RedSn0w will grab the required files it needs for the IPSW directly from Apple’s servers and it will keep copies of them so you don’t have to download them all over again.

If you are interested in beta versions of iOS RedSn0w will not grab them from Apple’s servers since they are not public. Therefore you’ll need to provide a copy of the required beta ISPW files yourself at least once after that the app will keep a copy of it.
