eBay Releases Free App in the Mac App Store

eBay in Mac App Store

eBay addicts rejoice! In a surprising move, eBay has released an official Mac app for free in the US Mac App Store. Instead of having to browse eBay from the web, you can now fire up eBay’s minimal Mac app.

“The eBay app lets you browse, bid, watch and buy items from the world’s largest marketplace with no ads or distractions! This app seamlessly integrates the eBay Search, My eBay console, Daily Deals and more to help you manage all your shopping activity.”

The design of this app looks a whole lot like Sparrow meets Twitter for Mac.

eBay’s Mac app is very lightweight and clean. It actually works really well, and it makes searching through the eBay store a much more enjoyable experience.

You can do everything in the eBay app that you can do online, like, track watched items, view bidding history and place bids, and of course search for auctions.

eBay’s new Mac app is pretty impressive, and I already prefer it over the web experience. Let us know what you think in the comments.
