Sprint Issues Blackout for “Major Phone Launch” in First Half of October [Report]

Reiterating previous reports that Sprint will be getting the iPhone 5 in the coming weeks, a leaked internal Sprint memo reveals that the carrier is blacking out the first two weeks of October for the “possibility of a major phone launch.”

Sprint employees are not allowed to take vacations between September 30th and October 15th. After all, Sprint will need as many hands on deck as possible to deal with all of its new iPhone customers.

This blackout fits right in with the predictions for Apple’s next announcement and shipping dates. Apple usually launches a new iPhone on a Thursday or Friday, making October 6th/7th or 13th/14th the most likely dates.

Get ready for the iPhone 5, Sprint. Now, who’s ready to buy one?

Should be owing to, shouldn’t it?

But seriously — this does only say ‘possibility’, which is nothing more than most people know, and I think that this piece is a bit too sure of itself.

Do they put out notifications like this for any Android phones?

Can’t wait…my 2 years is up in December.  Been with the Palm Pre and love it, but since Sprint is not carrying the Pre, it’s iPhone!!!!

I just got a $829.99 iPad2 for only $103.37 and my mom got a $1499.99 HDTV for only $251.92, they are both coming with USPS tomorrow. I would be an idiot to ever pay full retail prices at places like Walmart or Bestbuy. I sold a 37″ HDTV to my boss for $600 that I only paid $78.24 for.
    I use BIDFiRsT. COM
