Whenever it arrives, it looks like Rupert Murdoch’s The Daily won’t be the only iPad-only magazine around: British billionaire and part Virgin Airways owner Richard Branson is also planning on launching a new iPad publication called Project, and it’s likely to be revealed as early as tomorrow.

Word of Project comes as Branson sends out invitations to a NYC launch of the publication on , and will cover themes like entertainment, travel, business, design and international culture.

It seems pretty clear that Branson has something big up his sleeve for tomorrow, and he certainly seems to want to beat fellow Brit Rupert Murdoch to the punch.

That said, News Corp’s The Daily supposedly has Apple’s full support, as well as the cooperation of its software engineers, and is likely to introduce iTunes app subscriptions to iOS. The Project isn’t going to have the same cooperation from Cupertino when it launches, so even if it does get revealed and released tomorrow, don’t expect it to boast the new iTunes subscription app model.
