‘Order & Chaos’ is Gameloft’s WoW-Like MMORPG for iOS – Available Now

Gameloft is famous for using hugely popular games as the inspiration for some of its iOS releases. For example, Modern Combat 2 is not too dissimilar to Modern Warfare 2; N.O.V.A. bears some resemblance to Halo, and Starfront’s similarities to Starcraft are uncanny. As a keen iOS gamer, I like this. Though some game developers are beginning to offer iOS versions of their most popular releases, some still aren’t, and I admire how Gameloft offers a substitute to some of my favorite console and PC games.

Gameloft’s latest release is called Order & Chaos Online – and is their iOS answer to World of Warcraft (WoW). It just hit the App Store and comes with a $6.99 (universal) price tag. That’s not too bad for an iOS game, but you’ll also need to pay a subscription fee. You get three months free when you first login, and to continue playing after that you’ll have to pay $0.99 per month, $1.99 for three months, or $2.99 for six months.

Order & Chaos Online is a true real-time, full 3D massively multiplayer online role playing game, or ‘MMORPG’. It features a vast fantasy world for your to explore with thousands of other players from around the world. When you begin the game, you use the character creation system to cuztomize your hero.

There are four races to choose from: elves, humans, orcs and undead; and you can customize things like gender, appearance, class and talent – with over 1000 skills and 2000 pieces of equipment to choose from. Once you’ve created your character, you can travel through dark forests, deserts, jungles, mountains and more – on foot or by magical means.

You can interact with other players to make friends or enemies, trade, challenge, communicate and more; with a wide range of different interactions, and over 500 quests to perform.

For fans of World of Warcraft, Order & Chaos Online looks like the perfect iOS RPG, and another great Gameloft release.

Isn’t the game actually called Order & Chaos© Online, and not Order of Chaos. That’s kind of a huge oversight.

i couldn’t find the game on my ipad, until i did a search for gameloft. The name is Order & Chaos.

    deleted. author advertised wrong name

I would have preferred to have paid $20 – $30 for this than subscribe. I cringe at constantly forking out cash for things that I might not even be using for a month or so…

  5. AlphaWolfSniper says:

Why would you do that? It cost $7.00 for the actual app, and $3.00 for 6 months. You’d have to play Around 3 years worth of monthly-subscription to bypass the $20.00-$30.00 non pay-to-play (including the free 3 months with first log in.) The small subscription fee seems like a better deal than the $20. Most likely, we’ll all stop playing this in a year or so when a better MMO comes out :P

  6. HammyHavoc says:

For the same reason I prefer Guild Wars; It is there when I want to play it and mine to login to whenever without thinking ‘money’.

  8. Herbapou says:

Its 1$ per month for crying out loud…

I would rather pay one lump sum and never think about it again.
