Apple has just released the latest version of iOS to combat the PDF vulnerability that was uncovered by the recent JailbreakMe tool. iOS 4.3.4 is now available for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. iOS 4.2.9 has also been released for the Verizon iPhone with the same fix.
Nothing else looks new in this version of iOS, but security conscious folks will be glad to know that yet another exploit has been patched by Apple in 4.3.4. Apple told us all this was coming over a week ago.
Obviously, if you’re jailbroken, you’ll want to stay away from 4.3.4. The web-based jailbreak called JailbreakMe is responsible for Apple pushing out this iOS update in the first place.
Plug your iDevice into iTunes to grab the newest update.

These usually take about 6 hours for me to download but I am at a cousins house and is taking 4 minutes so far. Such a difference, haha.
If you want to continue to be able to use jailbreakme.com, avoid the update and patch the flaw yourself via Cydia

Guys, could you help in one problem? Today I received new iPhone 4 from UK. Factory unlocked. I checked and found Version 4.3.2 That’s why I made decision to update it. Ok. Connect iDevice to iTunes. Update to 4.3.4? Yes, why not? And after this step I found a PROBLEM. iTunes showed me:
The iPhone “xxxxx” could not be updated.
This device isn’t eligible for the requested build.
OK, let’s click “restore” … The same!:

Please, who knows what does this mean???
That’s awesome!

If you bought it from Orange UK or O2 UK, it would be eligible.
Factory Unlocked unless Apple did it themselves may or may not be eligible as it’s done by somebody else and it’s not legit.
Only way you can get it updated is to download it from a source other than Apple that has an iPhone4 GSM/CDMA UK build and update it manually.
The usual idea is that you would use NFC to set up the link between the two devices and then do an automatic hand over to a different protocol for doing the actual transfer of data – eg Bluetooth, iphone 5
