i.tech-solarcharger

There’s nothing new under the sun – particularly solar chargers. We’ve written about flexible solar chargers, solar chargers built into speakers and solar chargers shaped like trees. Now comes i.Tech and their SolarCharger 906.

The 1260mAh charger can energize your iPhone, iPod or any other mobile device compatible with 10 tips. It’ll take nearly a day (22 hours) to get a full charge or 3 hours by USB. The SolarCharger 906 uses a monocrystalline panel and special solar chipset. The $59.99 device measures about the size of a deck of playing cards and weighs 3.53 ounces. To suit the truly mobile, the charger includes a suction cup for mounting on a car windshield.

The SolarCharger 906 isn’t i.Tech’s first foray into the solar arena. Earlier this month the company unveiled the SolarVoice 906, a Bluetooth headset that’s solar rechargeable.
