Here’s a really cool new Cydia hack: iUsers, a jailbreak add on that allows you to have multiple user accounts on a single iPad, each with their own separate apps, mailboxes and settings.
iUsers is designed by Pedro Franceschi, who previously designed PhySwitch, a Cydia app that allowed you to switch between apps using your volume controls.
As you can see, iUsers seems to work pretty well. The only thing that really seems like a problem is that the iPad seems to need to reboot itself every time you switch users. That’s hardly seamless.
If you’d like to try iUsers for yourself, just add https://cydia.iblogeek.com/ as a source in Cydia and search for iUsers.

Blah…. Yet another jailbreaking article. What percentage of people jailbreak their iPads? 5%?
Looks like it’s restarting springboard not a full reboot, but yeah that’s pretty annoying. Looks like it needs some tuning, but it’s a great idea. I hope it’s one of the classic great ideas that Apple steals from Cydia devs, but makes better. iOS 6 feature??
What percentage of people use iPads at all? Why don’t you start your own blog and write about what you want.
that is beyond cool and would be extremely useful!
I for one don’t even have an iPad, let alone a jailbroken one but I found thing article quite interesting. It’s nice to know about the extra functionality that the iPad is capable of.
What percent of people use OS X? 9%?
Maybe this should be a Windows blog!
I don’t think the re-spring can be avoided until Apple writes their own version – too many cached values in the running springboard for Settings, etc.
Now, if you just wanted app data to switch and share Settings, may be.
Amazing and useful! Simple and complete. A fantastic tweak, one of the better I have already seen!
I paid $32.67 for a XBOX 360 and my mom got a 17 inch Toshiba laptop for $94.83 being delivered to our house tomorrow by FedEX. I will never again pay expensive retail prices at stores. I even sold a 46 inch HDTV to my boss for $650 and it only cost me $52.78 to get. Here is the website we using to get all this stuff, LiveCent.com
I think the multiple user accts is brilliant.. Apple should include it.. the question really is, what will syncing to iTunes do with the apps/settings.. Or do you have the same user name/accts set up on the mac/win side as well to sync it..
other then that.. seriously brilliant.. its the lack of that feature that stops me from using my ipad2 100% since my kids use it a bit and I dont want my email settings other data on it.
