Gadget Deals: Refurbished iMacs, iPods, Plus App Store Price Drops

Today’s deals include refurbished aluminum iMacs starting at $999, Apple 8GB iPod nano, a price drop on App Store applications and many more.

The Apple Store has six factory-refurbished Apple Aluminum iMac desktops on sale in its Special Deals section. (Click on “iMac” in the left sidebar to see them all.) Each is priced at up to 16% off what Apple charges for new, factory-sealed units. All are covered by the same 1-year Apple warranty that comes with new units. They all include Intel Core 2 Duo processors, SuperDrives, Gigabit Ethernet, AirPort Extreme (802.11n), Bluetooth, iSight webcam, and other major features. The iMacs, all with free shipping:

The Apple Store offers the factory-refurbished, current-generation Apple iPod nano 8GB MP3 Player in eight assorted colors for $99. (With free shipping, that’s still $34 below the lowest total price we’ve seen for a new unit.) Sales tax is added where applicable. All refurbished iPods carry a 1-year Apple warranty, the same as new iPods. Items are removed from Apple’s site when sold out.

The factory-refurbished Apple iPod nano 16GB MP3 Player is also still available for $149.

Several iPhone and iPod touch applications available from the iTunes App Store have recently dropped in price. Each is the best deal we’ve seen on that title. The deals:

Apple’s iTunes App Store offers Storm8’s Kingdoms Live for iPhone / iPod touch for free. (That’s $3 off.) Kingdoms Live is an online-only multiplayer game.

With activation of new voice and data plans, AT&T Wireless has refurbished models of the Apple iPhone 3G on sale, with prices starting at $79 with free shipping via 2-day delivery. (Each is $20 under last month’s prices and the lowest total price we’ve seen for these refurbished iPhones.) Sales tax is added where applicable. It features compatibility with AT&T’s 3G network, built-in GPS navigation with Google Maps, enhanced enterprise support, a 3.5-inch touch screen, at least 5 hours of talk time, and more. Note that a $36 activation fee applies. The deals:
