Starting tomorrow, January 7, AT&T Wireless will offer the Apple iPhone 3GS 8GB Smartphone for $49 with activation of a 2-year contract and voice and data plan. (Both new customers and upgraders are eligible.) That’s the lowest price we’ve seen for a new unit, although we’ve listed refurbished models for as low as $19. Google News has more.
