Met a guy wearing this shirt. (Former Apple employee.) Had a discussion about it.
It’s not really a secret t-shirt. Apple only sells Apple branded clothing at the Company Store. That being said, I picked up one of these shirts when I went to WWDC.
Also, anyone in the area can buy these shirts or really anything from the Apple Company Store.
I love my “I’ve visited the Mothership” shirt I picked up at the Apple campus a year or two ago.

I got this t-shirt when i visited back in April this year. I think they should bring back the Mothership one as it really means something now with their new plans :)
The usual idea is that you would use NFC to set up the link between the two devices and then do an automatic hand over to a different protocol for doing the actual transfer of data – eg Bluetooth,iphone 5
