On my birthday! Sweet.
Note: The author of this book should get in contact with me. I love Apple, and am a graphic designer…what’s it all mean? This book cover is terrible and I could do a better job on the toilet! I just finished doing a painting about the Foxconn issues. Don’t mean to offend the guy who did this cover….but geeesh. C’mon!
Who designed that cover? It´s just awful! They should call Johnny Ive to redesign it.
The cover is almost certainly a temporary placeholder.
It is a placeholder… check the iBook store and it has a different cover, and says “Cover to be unveiled”
BTW, iBook Store has preorder price at $14.99, whereas Amazon is $19.80
I really cant believe that cover… even as a “just for now” job…
Its not even aligned right! :-)
Steve’s eyes look like demon’s eyes on that picture, or not?
I’m looking forward for the book, but the cover sucks. Hope they change it
Wow, strong comments from someone that should know that cover is just a placeholder. If they thought your work was good enough they would have contacted you.
Awesome, can’t wait to read it. Steve is such a misunderstood genius.
You can’t contact someone you don’t know exists, genius.
How could they known the exact page count (448 pages) and still require 9 months to publish it. I wrote an academic book and it published in a notoriously slow 8 months. Popular books do so in 60 days. What’s wrong here?
i thinks, it’s name should be ” iJobs “.

I’m excited about this. I recently read iWoz, which is Steve Wozniak’s tale of how he created the first personal computer and cofounded Apple. In that book, I noticed that he portrayed Steve Jobs as kind of a self righteous d-bag. I’m really looking foward to reading Jobs take on things.
Interesting! I’m going to purchase 1. :)
The saying goes ‘don’t judge a book by its cover’. True, but I’m for sure judging the “graphic designer” who made this by his cover.
Seriously did they use Paint to make this or what ?
thanks for sharing the interesting cover design.
People try to contact their gods all the time, genious. :p
I’m actually looking forward to reading Steve Jobs official biography. I have a LOT of respect for Steve Jobs and Steve Woz for creating Apple and making the first Personal Computer. They are both game-changers, and Steve see’s the future before most people know what hit them.
Steve Jobs knew that the floppy disk drive was dead back those many years ago, and they stop putting them on Mac’s, Steve saw the future in Wi-Fi with Apple being the FIRST company to put in a built-in Wi-Fi card in iBooks (back then, if you wanted a Wi-Fi card, you had to buy a third-party Wi-Fi card just to use wireless networking). Steve changed the MP3 world forever with the iPod, changed the smartphone world forever with the iPhone, and perfected the tablet with the iPad.
I know that Steve see’s the future in other products; the cloud (the cloud is still in it’s infancy, but I honestly think that Apple is going to perfect it while most companies like Google and Amazon are still trying to get it to work), Near Field Communications, and ThunderBolt. I honestly think that ThunderBolt is going to be a HUGE competitor to USB 3.0, and, if ever, ThunderBolt can be used to sync data with your iDevices and are still compatible with USB.
On another note, I can’t wait for this biography. It’s also comes out 4 days after my 28 birthday. Can’t wait.
