Batches of stolen iPhones snagged during the “Great iPhone Heist” in Belgium earlier this month are showing up on the Russian black market.
Two weeks ago, thieves made off with 3,000-4,000 iPhone 3GS from a Belgian warehouse belonging to wireless carrier Mobistar. The haul was valued at $3 million. Now the stolen iPhones are being offered [...]

Let’s Give Thanks This Thanksgiving — For Steve Jobs

Techcrunch’s Michael Arrington has written a nice essay giving thanks this Thanksgiving — to Steve Jobs.
Arrington rightly points out that our world would be very different if Jobs hadn’t returned to Apple 12 years ago. Mobile phones would still be horrible, computers would still be ugly and the music industry would have collapsed.
“… What would [...]

Apples Get Apple Branding

These apples with Apple logos and products are the handiwork of a Japanese Apple fan (more pics on the site) who covered Fuji apples with custom Apple stickers, then waited a month them for to mature.

For the finishing touch, they added a leaf in afterwards in graphics. Wonder if these would be ripe for copyright infringement…

[...]   A Japanese guy has devised a way to naturally grow Fuji apples with the Apple logo on them.Ok his technique is no big trick, he applies an Apple sticker (or iPod or Appleish Hearth) a month before harvesting.Wait till Jobs hears about this one!  Via Cult of Mac  [...]

What’s this obsession with copyright infringement?! Ooh, look there’s a logo with a green apple in it! Wonder if Apple will sue them? There’s a guys growing apples in his backyard! Maybe they’ll come over and chop his tree down. Or better yet, break all his fingers for being creative. That’ll teach him.

    [...] Apple Apples — A rotten idea [...]

Interesting and clever, a completely natural way to create the logos on the fruit’s surface. If Apple had one or two clever people over there in Cooperteeeno they’d contact this person and get permission for the idea and use these ‘logo’d’ apples at the next Apple Computer event.

And on a different note, how would one do this for Microsoft? Are there naturally occurring windows out there? ;)
