If you’re still taking time out of your day to call every Apple reseller in your area in the hope of finding that iPad 2 you’re after, the new FindOne app for iPhone could save you a lot of time and effort.

You select which model of the iPad 2 you want and FindOne checks the inventory of every Target and Walmart store in your vicinity to see if they have your chosen device in stock.

You can specify which carrier you’d for the 3G device – or if you want the Wi-Fi only model – whether you want 16, 32, or 64 gigabytes of storage, and whether you want the black or white model.

When the app has finished searching for your device, it will present you with a list of stores that currently have you chosen device in stock; as well as the address, distance from your location, telephone number, and opening hours for each.

FindOne currently only supports Target and Walmart, but support for Best Buy and Toys ‘R’ Us is coming soon.
